The Slada factory: from a 1929 artel to seven production lines
From an artel of confectioners and gingerbread makers in 1929 to a modern factory in Ishim that makes Konditer Profi sweets for all of Russia and other countries.
Konditer Profi sweets are made at our own Slada factory in Ishim, in the south of Tyumen Oblast. Over almost a hundred years, production has grown from a small artel into a modern factory with seven lines.
1929: the Pishchevik artel
The Pishchevik artel of confectioners and gingerbread makers opened in Ishim. It made candies, gingerbread and ice cream for the town and its surroundings.
1970: Ishim Confectionery Factory
The Ishim Confectionery Factory was established: up to 20 tonnes of products a day and more than 200 employees. Today it is one of the oldest enterprises in the town.
2003: Slada LLC
Slada LLC was established and has managed production ever since. An in-house experimental laboratory and new technologies appeared, along with automatic lines for candies, soufflé and dragées.
2011: the Konditer Profi brand
All of the factory's products began to be released under a single brand, Konditer Profi. Its trading company operates in Yekaterinburg and is responsible for sales throughout Russia.
2022: a new site
Slada completed its move to a new site in Ishim. Today it has 18,000 m², seven production lines with Italian and German equipment, its own laboratory and about 300 employees. The factory produces up to 1,000 tonnes a month, and its processes are ISO 22000 certified.
Recognition
In 2023 the factory took first place in the regional stage of the Exporter of the Year competition in Tyumen Oblast and second place in the Ural Federal District, and in 2024 its products received a medal at the Prodexpo exhibition. Konditer Profi sweets are sold in major retail chains in Russia, in CIS countries, China, Mongolia and the USA.
